Selamat Datang (Welcome) to Surabaya and thank you for visiting. Business travelers should be aware that there is one Indonesian national holiday that will result in a long weekend: on Friday 16 March is Nyepi, the Balinese day of silence.
That said, hotels in Surabaya have some great deals for business travelers this month. Don't speak Indonesian? Don't worry - nearly everyone working in the tourism industry speaks English (as well as any number of other languages). On the street or in any tourist attraction you're sure to be approached by young Indonesian students looking for a chance to practice English, French, German or whatever.
